A Guest is a Host is a program aimed at the proliferation of music, art, design, sport, cuisine, and everything related to contemporary culture. The name takes on the Italian paradox for which the same word Ospite indicates both the person giving hospitality and the one receiving it. In the same way, our goal is to investigate passions and obsessions of creative minds while they exist in their most intimate dimension: their home. At the end of this investigation the former guest will be hosted in our space of Milan, Italy, where they will spend 3 days experimenting and performing.
A Guest is a Host is about bringing new talents under the spotlight, and narrating untold stories of those who are already used to the lights of the stage. While subjects change, the question stays: where do you feel home the most?
For the first episode of this format we traveled to Munich, Germany, to spend a few days with Rais. After winning the first prize in the “Kulturkreis Gasteig Musikpreis” and holding the position of organist at the church of Sankt Peter for a year (oldest parish in the city of Munich), Rais is today Assistant and Titular organist at the Theatinerkirche (formerly the royal court church of Monaco), where illustrious composers such as Orlando di Lasso were active (1532-1594) and Joseph Gabriel Rheinberger (1839-1901).Fotography and Video Tullio GraniArt Direction and Styling Diego PuttoText RaisProduction and Consulting The Harvest Consulting
